Husbands - The Rock Stars During Pregnancy
As of late, people have been telling me how great it is that I'm growing a baby. I'm doing so much work just sitting here, and they tell me that I need to be appreciated for it. I get it - it is remarkable that I am growing our daughter right now, but I'm not the only one putting in the work.
Being pregnant, I have very little energy and motivation to things (well, anything really), and when I do want to do something I am not fully capable due to my growing belly. This is where my husband has been stepping in. From being my personal chef to shaving my legs, this man has done more than I could ever ask of him.
While I want to use this post to show everyone out there the one pregnant is not the only person putting in the work, I also want to use this to thank Holden for the things he has done for me so far in this wild adventure.
Thank you for making my lunch - like every single day. And for giving me an abundant amount of yummy healthy snacks so that I don't live off of Cheez-its in the office.
Thank you for not questioning me when I start to do random sways in our apartment. I don't know why I move the way I move, but at least I'm moving.
Thank you for always making sure that I take my vitamins - my brain is a mess.
Thank you for not making fun of me when I want to go to sleep at 8.
Thank you for letting me cry when my emotions get the best of me.
Thank you for loving our little girl so much already, and singing to my belly. It's one of the moments that makes all the rough ones worth it.
Thank you for always standing by me and stumbling with me through this journey. I don't know what I would do without you. I might be growing this baby, but you are my support system. You are my main man. You always build me up, so that I have the energy to build our baby. I can't thank you enough for doing all the ridiculous things I ask. I love you more and more each day. You have had many names in my life over the years - friend, boyfriend, fiance, husband - and I love calling you these names. Now, I get to add another name to the list: father. I know that you are going to be a great father. Your instinct to take care of me and your unborn child is proof of that.
Thank you,
From your wife and daughter.
